HR Manager


Job Description

Oversees all HR related matters throughout the company. Facilitate the hiring and onboarding process for all new employees, including new-hire paperwork, tax withholding setup, background check processing, and orientation.


Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of recruiting including job posting, interviewing, attending job fairs, and interfacing with third party recruiters
  • Assess training needs of staff on a continual basis, develop and conduct all employee trainings including new employee orientation
  • Serve as liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping to resolve work-related problems
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for all company roles
  • Attend trainings and seminars in order to stay up to date on policies and state and federal labor laws
  • Work in conjunction with management to identify staff vacancies and develop a recruitment strategy to fill required positions
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information regarding policy, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for advancement, and employee benefits
  • Develop, update and conduct periodic staff training sessions on safety, sexual harassment, equal opportunity employment and other relevant and necessary topics
  • Act as the main liaison for all company employees in all HR related matters
  • Maintain and update all HR-related forms and manuals, policies and procedures, including new-hire forms and the company employee handbook
  • Oversee all aspects of employee benefits including enrollment and changes. Provide information to employees on pricing and coverage options
  • Track PTO balances and approve employee PTO requests based on available hours
  • Oversee employee engagement and morale, plan and execute events for staff appreciation and engagement
  • Conduct investigations of employees for disciplinary matters, documents investigative reports and makes discipline recommendations in consultation with management in order to carry our any necessary disciplinary procedures
  • Provide employee relations support by providing effective conflict resolution advice and counseling when necessary
  • Oversee and facilitate annual employee performance reviews in conjunction with management .

Requirements:
  • BS/BA in relevant field.
  • 2+ years successful experience as an HR professional.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR functions and procedures (pay, benefits, recruiting, training and development).
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined and driven individual who takes pride in owning their work with little to no supervision necessary.
  • Commitment to staying current on labor laws and HR-related policies and procedures.
  • Well-versed in computer office technology, proficient in MS Office, MacOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Spanish.
  • Strong sense of ethics, reliable and responsible professional personality.
